Certificate II in Hospitality is a great foundation for your career in hospitality. It provides you with the basic operational knowledge and practical work skills to perform a variety of food and beverage activities in a wide scope of hospitality related positions such as a porter, reservations clerk, receptionist, room attendant, and food and drink waiter. Positions that could see you employed in hotels, motels, resorts, healthcare institutions and hospitality related small businesses. This Certificate is a prerequisite for further hospitality studies including the Certificate III in Hospitality & Certificate IV in Hospitality, and the Diploma of Hospitality and Advanced Diploma of Hospitality.

Building on your Certificate III in Hospitality, the Certificate IV in Hospitality furthers your career by giving you the skills and knowledge to carry out supervisory and leadership related tasks such as overseeing the operation of a bar, restaurant, coffee shop, front desk or reception. You’ll also learn about providing stock ordering and control, budgeting and financial control, and supervising and managing gaming operations. Certificate IV in Hospitality is a pre-requisite for further hospitality studies including the Diploma of Hospitality and Advanced Diploma of Hospitality.

The Advanced Diploma of Hospitality can prepare you to manage physical assets, financial operations, recruiting staff, leading and managing people, monitoring staff performance, and developing and managing marketing strategies.
